lecar a public transport network linking the major demographic and economic centers in the eastern and northeastern parts of the metropolitan area.

The intercity network includes 26 regular lines served by a fleet of nearly 200 coaches and 300 drivers. The two most frequent and most used lines are those connecting Trets or Pertuis to Aix-en-Provence. Six direct lines without going through the bus station facilitate journeys to the Aix-en-Provence Business Park. Several basins are linked to the main centers: Pertuis, Trets, Gardanne, Lambesc, Vitrolles les Pennes-Mirabeau, etc…

Bus on demand

The on-demand bus is a public transport service requiring reservations that allows you to travel within a local area, in areas not served by regular or school lines.

‎Reservations from the mobile app Real-time information, route optimization In real time, view your vehicle and receive information. Modify or cancel your reservation at any time. Once you arrive, evaluate your trip!

Reservation must be made

  • at least 2 hours in advance
  • at the earliest 30 days before the planned trip

It is possible to book for recurring trips or on several dates (same time, same route), for a maximum duration of one month.

Your confirmation

You will receive 4 types of messages:

  • Message 1 (by email) : When your reservation is registered, you will automatically receive an email summarizing your reservation: your tentative pickup time, your approximate travel time, and the latest arrival time.
    To accommodate as many travelers as possible and optimize bookings, your itinerary may be adjusted and the pickup time delayed by up to 10 minutes, up to 2 hours before your trip.
  • Message 2 (by SMS/notification): 2 hours before the trip : a text message (or a notification if you use the app) will be sent to you with the updated pickup time. Please note : the driver will not wait for you beyond this time.
  • Message 3 (by SMS/notification) : 10 minutes before your pick-up , you will receive a reminder SMS (or a notification if you use the app), indicating your pick-up time taking into account the traffic conditions at that time.
  • Message 4 (by email) : if you are forced to cancel, an electronic message will confirm that this cancellation has been taken into account.

Practical! : A little before your departure, on the app , you can view the position of your bus in real time .

Arrive at the bus stop 5 minutes before your scheduled departure time. If you are late or absent, the driver will report you as absent. If you have a scheduled return trip, it will be automatically canceled (unless you call the reservation center immediately).

  • When boarding the bus, give the driver your first and last name.
  • If you cannot honor your reservation, you must cancel your reservation at least 2 hours in advance, by telephone (during reservation service opening hours), on the website or the app.

A last-minute cancellation cannot be offered to other customers. It will be considered late.

  • Beyond 2 absences or cancellations outside the deadlines over a period of 30 days, access to the service will be suspended for 7 days.
  • The number of journeys is limited to 4 journeys per day per person.
  • A minimum interval of 30 minutes must be respected between two journeys.
  • In the event of repeated inappropriate behavior, suspension of service may be imposed.
  • If the journey is possible with a regular or school line at + or – 45 min around the desired time, the on-demand bus cannot be reserved.

Rules on board

  • All tickets and fares valid on the Aix en bus and Pays d’Aix Mobilité networks are valid on the service.
  • If you need to buy your ticket on board : Remember to have the exact change (notes over €20 may be refused). Only single and 2-trip tickets are sold on board.
  • Validate your ticket once on board or present your electronic ticket validated on your phone to the driver.

IMPORTANT : Any passenger refusing to present their ticket to the driver will be reported and will be suspended from service for one month in the event of a repeat offense.

  • Children under 4 travel free without a ticket.
  • Children under 8 years old cannot travel alone (accompanying adult over 10 years old required).
  • Fasten your seatbelt. Wearing a seatbelt is mandatory

    When booking transport, the presence of children and their number must be stipulated by the applicant. In the case of seated transport, the use of an approved restraint system for a child under ten (10) years of age is mandatory in a light vehicle used for public road transport of people (article R412-2 of the Highway Code). It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to provide the equipment necessary to transport the child safely and in accordance with the applicable legal provisions (booster seat, etc., adapted to the child’s age).

    Otherwise, the child cannot be transported and will be refused by the driver.

    On the day of transport, any accompanied child not provided for in the reservation may be refused by the driver.

  • The only animals permitted in the vehicle are:
    – small animals transported in a basket, bag, or closed cage, as long as they do not cause any inconvenience to the driver or other passengers
    – animals assisting people with disabilities
  • The owner of the animal is responsible for any damage caused in the vehicle.
  • On board vehicles, under penalty of fines or criminal sanctions, it is prohibited to:
    Eating or drinking
    Smoking or vaping
    Disturb the peace of travelers
    Damage, tag or scratch vehicle windows
    Throw rubbish, dirty or put your feet on the seats
    – Have an inappropriate attitude towards staff or other passengers
    Commit acts likely to disturb public order or hinder the performance of the service
    Transport objects which, by their shape, nature, odor, or destination, may annoy, inconvenience, or frighten travelers, present a danger or harm the health of others (in particular weapons, gas bottles, flammable objects or products)

In the event of repeated inappropriate behavior, suspension of service may be imposed;

EXAMPLES OF FINES FOR VIOLATIONS

    • 72 € No ticket / Invalid ticket / Unvalidated ticket / Smoking or vaping on board
    • 150 € Damage to the vehicle / Disturbance to passengers
