Park and ride parks

The park-and-ride to reduce car use, an essential link in the mobility chain.

The Metropolis manages 35 P+Rs, including 16 in Marseille. Ideally located on the outskirts of cities, they offer the opportunity to park your vehicle safely near public transportation (train, metro, tram, bus, etc.).

They are an effective lever for promoting modal shift in favor of less polluting modes, particularly for home-work travel.
They are also tools for environmental protection that help reduce CO2 emissions.
They are the ideal solution for getting to city centers or to work at a lower cost!

Park and ride facilities are sometimes integrated into multimodal exchange hubs (PEM).

Thanks to an attractive offer, users can take advantage of these places which are becoming real mobility “hubs”.

Attractive pricing

The Metropolis has standardized the price range of park and ride facilities in its territory to improve the clarity of the offer.

For metropolitan transport subscribers

Those who make the effort to leave their vehicle in the park and ride facilities benefit from very low rates.

Good deal: Parking is included in the public transport subscription, which becomes a real Mobility subscription!

For occasional users who are not subscribed to public transport

From €5* in Marseille and €3.50* outside Marseille/day.

These rates include 1 round trip by urban or inter-urban public transport + one day of parking in a park and ride.

*To benefit from this offer, it is essential to make a round trip by public transport. Otherwise, a penalty of €15 will apply to prevent misuse of public transport.

Park-and-ride, How does it work?

Proceed to the entrance and swipe your public transport card at the terminal.
Confirm your entry, park your vehicle, and then use the public transport of your choice: bus, tram, or metro.

On your return, use public transport and then collect your vehicle.

Swipe your transport card in front of the exit terminal and leave the park and ride.

To encourage carpooling, all vehicle occupants can benefit from a round-trip ticket by contacting the Park and Ride reception (offer valid in all Park and Ride locations outside Marseille)

Drop off your vehicle from 6 p.m. and use public transport to get home.

Pick up your vehicle before 8 a.m. the next day using public transport.

Flexibility for overnight and weekend parking

Metropolitan public transport subscribers can now park in park and ride facilities overnight, from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. the following day, and on weekends from 6 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Monday.

This is the relay function during the day and resident at night (P2R).

This function is only permitted when combining park and ride and the use of public transport.

This offer is also applied within the park and ride facilities located in Marseille, participating in supporting the implementation of the ZFE-m in Marseille.

Users whose vehicle does not meet the «  crit’air” access conditions  » thus have an alternative solution for parking their vehicle at night and on weekends.

New: contactless payment

In Marseille, the use of park-and-ride facilities by occasional customers is now made easier by the introduction of contactless payment.

You can complete the entire journey (P+R access, use of public transport, P+R exit) with your contactless bank card as a means of payment and access.

Pic de pollution
Plan d’Urgence Transports
