Access to the metropolitan transport network will now be free for those under 11 and those aged 65 and over from 1st September 2025.
A free pass will allow you to travel to the 92 municipalities of the metropolitan area, from Marseille via Aix-en-Provence, Aubagne, La Ciotat, Martigues, Istres, Salon-de-Provence, etc…
Services included in the Free Pass
A free pass for travel on the entire Aix-Marseille-Provence metropolitan area transport network (excluding TER, levelo and Lebateau (Frioul*) services):

40 sectors served by buses to be reserved for travel in villages, countryside and neighborhoods.

65 lines to travel between the towns and villages of the Metropolis and to get to the airport.

3 maritime lines to travel in the harbor of Marseille – Estaque, Pointe Rouge, Les Goudes and on the canals in Martigues.

No need for a mobility card, your child travels free on our networks.
He must be accompanied.
If your child uses a special school route with an escort, they travel free of charge but must have a mobility card and register for the school route used. See you here
From 4 to 10 years inclusive
If your child already has a mobility card, the free pass will be automatically charged.
To activate it, simply validate the card at an ATM or in one of the La Métropole Mobilité stores.
If your child uses a special school circuit with accompaniment, he or she must register for the school circuit used.

65 years and over
I have a mobility card with a permanent pass¹, an annual subscription², I already benefit from free senior travel or half-price travel on euro top-ups.
I have no other steps to take other than activating my free Pass by validating my card at an ATM or in one of the La Métropole Mobilité stores.
I will be able to use it from September 1st.
(1) If I have a permanent Pass, the monthly direct debit will be automatically suspended on August 31, 2025, without any action on my part.
(2) If I have a paid annual subscription or a euro top-up, I can request a refund for the months or amounts not used, once my free Pass is activated.

I provide a recent passport photo, an identity document and proof of address less than one year old (main residence in the Aix-Marseille-Provence metropolitan area)
After validation of my file, my mobility card is sent to my home: To activate the free Pass, simply validate the card at an ATM or in one of the La Métropole Mobilité stores.
If I have lost my mobility card, its renewal will be charged €10.

You can now load the free Pass onto your mobility card:
In the Marseille metro and tramway (RTM):
- ATMs located in metro stations in Marseille
- Validators at the metro entrance
- ATMs located on tram platforms
On ticket machines in bus stations
- Aix-en-Provence : on the platforms of line A and at the bus station
- La Ciotat : in front of the bus station
- Gardanne: at the entrance to the park and ride (quay side)
- Martigues : at the Danielle Casanova exchange hub
- Pertuis : at the bus station
- Vitrolles : in front of the Pierre Plantée bus station
