Site accessibility
Site accessibility
The site has features that ensure good accessibility of its content:
- The layout of the site is done using a style sheet to ensure that the structure of the information is preserved.
- Font sizes can be enlarged and reduced using the options available on your visual browser.
- All images have alternative text.
- It is possible to navigate this site without using a mouse.
- The layout is moved to a style sheet to separate the content from the layout
Site navigation
The main navigation menu provides access to the main themes of the site.
The “You are here” breadcrumb trail is present on every page. It allows you to locate yourself precisely and quickly return to higher navigation levels.
At the end of each section is a “back to top” link. This allows you to quickly find the main menu and navigation path.
The sitemap corresponds to the fully expanded main navigation menu.
Pictures
Images have alternative text. Where appropriate, complex images are accompanied by a more detailed description, either on the same page or on a dedicated page.
Tables
Data tables are marked up to be understandable by a screen reader.
Titles
All pages on the site have their own title, which helps you understand their content.
Within the page, the contents are structured using headings and subheadings.
The contents are organized in a hierarchical and coherent manner.
Entertainment
The animations present on the site can be stopped on demand using an appropriate button.

Documents to download
You will find downloadable documents in Acrobat PDF format on the site.
To read these files, you need Acrobat Reader. You can download it from the Adobe website : Download Acrobat Reader.
You can also convert PDFs to classic HTML using Adobe’s online conversion engine. To do this, copy the link address to the PDF file and paste it into the designated field of the conversion tool : online conversion tool.
Print the site pages
Printable version of the pages
The website pages are designed to print correctly on your home printer.
Printing is optimized for standard page size (A4).
For best results, your browser’s printing should be set to “Fit to Page” or “Scale to Fit”. Most browsers default to this setting.
To check your print settings, go to the menu under the Print heading or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + P.
Firefox: The standard Print feature doesn’t offer any settings. Use Print Preview instead.
Advanced printing
On certain pages of the site, we offer you an advanced print version which allows you to:
- to add a text of your choice
- to choose the items to print. For example, the timetable for your stop and its location map.
This advanced version of printing is available on the following pages:
- Roadmap of a calculated route
- Roadmap of a calculated route
- Line times
- Direct connection times
Carbon footprint
Carbon footprint of the roadmap
The route planner compares the environmental impact of the proposed route with that of the same route taken by car.
The calculation of CO2 production is carried out based on the distances traveled by each mode and the average carbon production coefficients by mode of transport GeqCO2/passenger.km
GeqCO2: gram equivalent CO2
Coefficients used by mode of transport
- Car: 86.9 kg CO2 eq.
- Tram: 1.2 kg CO2 eq.
- Subway: 1.42 kg CO2 eq.
- Train: 3.87 kg CO2 eq.
- TER: 3.87 kg CO2 eq.
- TGV: 55.9 kg CO2 eq.
- Bus: 55.9 kg CO2 eq.
- Coach: 25.16 kg CO2 eq.
The coefficients for cars, buses, trams, and metros are derived from work carried out by the French Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME), in consultation with representatives of French public transport operators. These coefficients are used in particular by ADEME’s eco-calculator.
Since ADEME’s work has not defined a reference coefficient for Car mode, Cityway proposes using the same coefficient as for Bus.
The TER and TGV train coefficients are those established by the SNCF, which uses these coefficients in particular for its eco comparator.
The coefficients used are only averages: recent cars pollute less than older cars, the same is true for buses, coaches or trains… The carbon ratio must therefore be considered only as an indication of the order of magnitude of the carbon savings made by taking public transport – keeping in mind that significantly different results could be obtained for the same journey depending on the calculation assumptions used.
Public transport (PT) distances are calculated as close as possible to the actual route by adding the distances of each of the stop-to-stop sections.
Private car (PC) distances are calculated based on the road graph
See the ademe.fr website and its eco-calculator.

Itineraries
Below are some tips for using the site’s interactive route planner as effectively as possible. It allows you to:
- change search criteria
- view route alternatives
- change your start and end points on the map and immediately get a new result
Departure and arrival
To indicate the departure and arrival location, you can use the input fields or click directly on the interactive map.
Specify the date and time you would like to travel.
If you are registered in the member area, you can use your favorite places to designate your departure or arrival point: go to the My favorites tab.
Entry and selection of locations
For the same entry, the database can offer stops, addresses and points of interest (categorized places).
Please note: if you select a stop, the route planner will only look for route solutions from/to this stop and connecting stops, generally no further than 250 meters. This is why we recommend that you use addresses and points of interest instead to obtain the fastest routes overall, even if you have to change options later according to your preferences (fewer changes, more or less walking, etc.).
Indicate your preferences
By default, the “fastest” route is suggested. However, you can run a recalculation in “fewer changes” mode, which in some cases can simplify the journey while only slightly increasing the total time.
Modes of transport: default
The site prioritizes public transportation solutions. But that’s not all. Other modes of transportation are also offered by default, if the situation allows:
- 100% journey by bike (+ direct or + adapted)
- 100% walking distance (up to 2.5km)
- on-demand transport journey: full or feeder, in cases where the public transport offer is insufficient.
- carpooling trip
Modes of transport: your choices
You can change the settings as follows, in the “Advanced Options” tab:
- deactivate certain modes of transport (for example, if you only want to take the tram)
- indicate whether you wish to start or finish your journey on foot, by bike, by car, in the methods of your choice (distance, speed, parking location).
To save your choices for additional transportation options from one visit to the next, click the Save my preferences button. This option requires you to be registered in the member area.
View results
Each route suggestion appears in the form of a button including:
- the modes of transport to use,
- the number of change
- tthe distance traveled on foot, by bicycle, by car, as the case may be,
- the journey time and the departure and arrival times.
By clicking on the button, you will see its contents: a roadmap, a plan, prices and various useful features (printing, PDF download, adding to the calendar, sharing on social networks, etc.) grouped under Services.
Line times
How do I search for a line’s timetable?
- Select a network if you want to filter your search (validate without entering anything if you want the list of all lines)
- Specify the name or number of the line you are looking for
- OR: Enter the name of a municipality served
Search results:
The results page shows all the lines that may match the search.
From the suggested lines, select the line that matches your search and a direction to display the line timetable. This is an automatically formatted timetable using the same database as the route calculation.
Remember to change the date, which is the current day by default.
The line timetable allows you to access the features described below:
- Opening validity calendar for each race
- Display of the line and all its stops on an interactive map
- Download the commercial version of the line timetable
Access to timetables for passing through a line stop
Schedules at the stop
How do I search for a timetable by stop name?
To go directly to the timetables for a stop, enter the name of a stop in the corresponding field.
If an ambiguity reduction list is displayed, select the desired stop.
If several lines serve the requested stop, select the one of your choice to access the timetables for the desired stop.
After selecting the line, the timetable for the line’s passages at this stop is displayed.
Interactive map: Clicking on a stop opens a tooltip that shows you which lines stop there. You can also search for a route with that stop as the departure or arrival point.
Other functions:
- imprimer la fiche horaire
- download the PDF version of the timetable
- give us your opinion
- share on social media or by email
